The 2018 Narooma Oyster Festival has been shucked in style, opening to bright skies and an enthusiastic crowd. Long queues quickly formed to sample oysters harvested from the Shoalhaven River to the Victorian border. Cooking demonstrations with top Sydney and regional chefs, with Kelly Eastwood as a vivacious MC, have drawn attentive audiences.
Live musicians have provided a soundtrack for the event. Wendy and Leanne Mason, of the Wagonga Local Aboriginal Land Council have been cooking up a storm at the Yuin fire pit.
